It all started in 2005, when a group of 19 Porsche drivers made the event Porsche Tunnel Challenge Amsterdam. Soon after that the same group and an additional amount of Porsche drivers held a similar event in Rotterdam and her surroundings.

The Porsche Tunnel Challenge was such a succes, that with an average of 3 challenges a year it became a more and more populair event.

In 2008 a serious increase of drivers was noticed when driving in and around Amsterdam - counting 36 Porsche drivers and their even so enthousiastic passengers.

In 2009 it looked like a record when over 85 Porsches and their drivers joined the event in Rotterdam.

Early 2010 we decided to change our name of Porsche Tunnel Challenge into La Targa Passaggio (the road-trip with sound) - at the same time we did the Amsterdam Edition with 65 enthousiastic drivers!

June 2010 - La Targa Passaggio Bruxelles Edition. The first (and not the last) time we organized a Porsche Tunnel Challenge through the ancient tunnels of Brussels. 43 Porsche fanatics joined this event.

September 2010 - we set a new record - a little more than 90 Porsches met at the Porsche Centre in Rotterdam to challenge a 145 Km long trajectory with many, many tunnels.

April 2011 - The first time in our history that we were welcomed by real Amsterdam coppers, showing up on a dozen police-motor-bikes and in a worthy amount of civilian and striped cars. With a delay of less than 20 minutes we managed to get .our 73 Porsches. started to do the .anniversary.. It was the 5th official Porsche Tunnel Challenge in and around Amsterdam.

June 2011 - The second edition of La Targa Passaggio Brussels took place, attended by a little more than 50 Porsche fanatics coming from all over Europe.

September 2011 - We experienced some media attention prior to the event and our date got exposed by newspaper and radio. Resulting in some last minute subscriptions and having almost 130 Porsches driving that Friday-night.

April 2012 - With a total of 105 Porsches in the range from 356 to 997 we started at the newly opened Porsche Centrum Amsterdam - we had absolutely fabulous weather so many were driving with the top down - and others with the sliding roof and/or the windows open. No new tunnels - but a different route ending at Amsterdam Westpoort again.

June 2012 - We had our third edition of La Targa Passaggio Brussels - with a slight panic the day before when we found out that the police only authorized 5 cars instead of 50th. Making some nerve wrecking phonecalls solved the case and alle attendees experienced a very nice event on this rainy day. many thanks to those who hosted us for breakfast and lunch!

September 2012 - we lost count - but it was Rotterdam again. We welcomed some drivers from Germany this time and ended up driving with a train of a litlle more than 100 Porsches.

October 2012 - First Time - but not last: Tunnel Challenge The Hague it was. Total distance driven through tunnels was more than 25% of the total trajectory. Ending "underground".
